Amberley has private Trash/Recycling. This is the heritage of private pickup from the founding of the community and the narrow pipestem roads needing service.

The payment is annual and offers a discount for Community Association Members. New residents are eligible for a prorated fee based on the month they move in. Those selling their house should prorate their annual fee on their settlement sheet to new owners.

Holiday Schedule

The contract provides for six (federally) Observed Holiday schedule shifts:

  • New Years Day
  • Memorial Day
  • July 4th
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

The “Holiday slide” effect is standard operating procedure for these holidays. When the holiday happens, the pickup days for the remainder of the week are pushed back by a day.

Most of these holidays are on Mondays, in which case our pickup day for the whole week is pushed back a day.

Tue. > Wed. / Wed. > Thurs. / Fri. > Sat.

Missed Trash Pickup Instructions:
Make sure you let me know when the trash does not get picked up. But more importantly, notify WB Waste. The managers don't know they have problems if we don't report it.

For best results in this situation:
1. If the trash is still in the can after 1:00pm, take a picture on your smart phone of the trash location (so they know where they should be looking)

2. Send it to Email: [email protected]

3. Write in the message:

Missed Trash Pickup
- Your Name
- Your house address, Amberley
- account # 150089216
- (Curb or House Service)
- Trash was out by 7am as requested

4. Otherwise call the WB Waste service department at PHONE: 410-768-1900
Be sure to use the Amberley account # 150089216 so they can identify you as a customer.
